(Yes, I know this meme dates me, but I couldn’t resist.)
Platform is a Venture Studio. We build startups.
However, Platform is itself a startup. As well as working on the companies we’re creating, I have to also do all the usual startup things for Platform – set the culture, hire the best talent, keep investors happy, develop and scale processes, and manage an operating plan.
The trick here is sharing talent, expertise, process, and infrastructure not only between the companies we are creating, but between those companies and Platform itself.
Since we’re focused on building companies that address the future of work, the products those companies are building should make Platform itself more effective and efficient.
It’s a big, messy case of eating our own dogfood (dawgfood?).
